J. Kirk McKinnon - President & Chief Executive Officer

J.A. Kirk McKinnon has served as our President, Chief Executive Officer and a director since April 2006. He brings over 25 years of Senior Management experience to the Company. Mr. McKinnon is currently President and Chief Executive Officer) of both MacDonald Mines Exploration Ltd. and Red Pine Exploration Inc., both of which are resource exploration companies headquartered in Toronto, Canada. Previously, Mr. McKinnon held senior management positions with several high profile Canadian corporations, including Nestle Canada.

Richard Schler - Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Richard E. Schler has been our Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and a director since April 2006. He is also currently serving as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of both MacDonald Mines Exploration Ltd. and Red Pine Exploration Inc., both of which are resource exploration companies headquartered in Toronto, Canada. Before joining these companies, Mr. Schler held various senior management positions with noted corporations. He also has over 25 years of experience in the manufacturing sector.

Joseph Heng, CA - Controller 

Joseph Heng is a Chartered Accountant with over 36  years of industry experience in public accounting. 

Brent Nykoliation- Vice President of Business Development 

Brent Nykoliation brings significant skills and  experience to the Company. With a career that has spanned 15 years in various  senior management roles in Marketing and Business Development (Nestle), Retail  Sales and Merchandising (Home Depot) and Merchandising Operations (Whirlpool),  Brent is well positioned to market Honey Badger's exploration initiatives.

Quentin Yarie, P.Geo - Senior Vice President of Exploration 

Mr. Yarie is an experienced geophysicist and a successful entrepreneur. He has over 20 years of experience in the mining and environmental/engineering sectors.  Mr. Yarie has project management and business development experience as he has held positions of increasing responsibility with a number of Canadian-based geophysical service providers.  From 1992-2001 Mr. Yarie was a partner of a specialized environmental and engineering consulting group where he managed a number of large projects including the ESA of the Sydney Tar Ponds,  the closure of the Canadian Forces Bases in Germany and the Maritime and Northeast Pipeline project.

Craig Scherba, P. Geol - Vice President of Exploration & Chief Geologist

Craig Scherba, P.Geol, was appointed a Director for the Company effective May 15th, 2011. A geologist since 2000, his expertise includes supervising large Canadian and international exploration. Mr. Scherba was an integral member of the exploration team that developed Nevsun Resources’ high grade gold, copper and zinc Bisha project in Eritrea.  Mr. Scherba is currently Vice President of Exploration of MacDonald Mines Exploration Ltd., Red Pine Exploration Inc. and Honey Badger Exploration Inc.

Jean-Philippe Desrochers - Ph.D., P.Geo., Senior Consulting Geologist 

Dr. Desrochers holds a PhD in geology from University of Montreal and has over seventeen years experience in the mineral exploration industry in Canada, Central America and South America. He has been involved with intermediate and junior mining companies with exploration projects ranging from grassroots to mine-scale, on both surface and underground. Dr. Desrochers specializes in the field of structural geology applied to ore deposits in the search for Archean lode gold, volcanogenic massive sulfides, porphyry copper, skarn, and epithermal gold deposits. 

Jake McKinnon - Vice President of Operations 

Mr. McKinnon, over the past 6 years, has been exposed to all levels of the mining industry. He is currently the VP of Operations for two TSX Venture Exchange listed companies: MacDonald Mines Exploration Ltd. and Red Pine Exploration Inc as well as the Director of Operations for Energizer Resources Inc. He also sits on the Board of Directors for Ring of Fire Exploration. He continues to work with the day to day operations relating to current and proposed future exploration being conducted by Honey Badger Exploration.

Peter Liabotis, CA - Vice President of Finance 

Peter D. Liabotis was appointed to the Audit Committee and to the Board of Directors of the Company during 2009.  Mr. Liabotis is a Canadian Chartered Accountant with over 13 years of post-qualification experience, having qualified in Ontario during 1997.   Mr. Liabotis articled for both KPMG in Mississauga, Ontario where he audited mainly retail and manufacturing organizations and PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Hamilton, Bermuda where he audited investment funds, insurance companies and local retail clients.  From 1998 to 2008, Mr. Liabotis worked for Olympia Capital, a hedge fund administrator where he served as Senior Vice President – Chief Financial Officer.  Notable during his tenure at Olympia Capital was leading the process of selling the business to a European public investor, overseeing the treasury function and designing its internal control system and management information system.  Upon returning to Canada in July 2008, he was employed as first as a consultant and then as a salaried employee for EFG Canada, a subsidiary of EFG Bank , a Switzerland private bank.  At EFG Canada he assisted in launching a Canadian mutual fund to retail and institutional investors.  Given Mr. Liabotis strong accounting and auditing background, diverse and international work experience the Company believes that he will provide a unique prospective to both the Board of Directors and to the Audit Committee.
